HOTINT is a research-grade simulation framework for rigid and flexible multibody dynamics and structural mechanics. Developed by the Gerstmayr group at the Institute of Technical Mechanics, Johannes Kepler University Linz, in collaboration with LCM and ACCM, it focuses on accurate, efficient high-order time integration. HOTINT enables users to model complex mechanical systems—including flexible bodies, joints, constraints, and contact—and to run nonlinear transient analyses for design and validation. Its scriptable workflow and extensible, object-oriented architecture support rapid prototyping, education, and advanced research, with tools for parameter studies, numerical experimentation, and result visualization.
